TRINITY AT NASHVILLE (TENN.) ENSWORTH
* Kickoff: 8 p.m. EDT.
* Storyline: Shamrocks open against traditional Tennessee power.
* Trinity: Despite returning just four starters from last season, the Shamrocks enter the 2016 campaign ranked No. 19 in the nation by USA Today and No. 1 in the state in Class 6-A. Senior Spencer Blackburn has played quarterback in the Trinity system since he was a freshman and will take over as the starter this year. Expect the defense to carry the Shamrocks early in the season, as sophomore end Stephon Herron, senior lineman Jermaine Jackson and senior backs Luke Eskins and Zyan Bethel are each stars in the making.
* Ensworth: The Tigers won four straight state titles from 2010-13 but suffered their first losing season with a 5-7 mark in 2015, including a 45-0 loss at Trinity. Ensworth features a pair of top recruits in the secondary in senior Rodney Owens and junior Jaylon King. Owens has committed to the University of Louisville, and King is a four-star recruit with offers from Tennessee and Vanderbilt, according to Rivals.com.
* The pick: Trinity 24-14.
