Fern Creek boys soccer coach John Pedro was named the Metro Louisville Coach of the Year on Tuesday at The Courier-Journal Kentuckiana Sports Awards Banquet presented by Norton Sports Health.
Pedro led the Tigers to a 20-5-1 record and their first trip to the state tournament semifinals, where they ultimately fell to Covington Catholic, all the while meshing players from 11 countries.
