Carson Williams, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, got the call last weekend that he was added to the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic roster, and the Northern Kentucky signee is expecting a large crowd from his native Owen County to come down for Friday’s game.
But before then, Williams will participate in Thursday’s skills competition. The 6-foot-6 forward will be in the dunk contest, but the explosive jumper isn’t quite sure yet just what moves he’ll try on the court.
“It feels great to be here playing in this competition and playing along with these top level guys,” he said.
