Nia Staples and Samantha Rogers both scored 12 points as Ohio rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Kentucky 76-71 on Saturday in the girls Ohio-Kentucky All-Star Game at Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Ky.
The game annually matches some of the top seniors from both states.
Kentucky led 50-40 at halftime but couldn’t hold on as Staples of Lakota West High and Rogers of Lakota East led Ohio’s comeback.
Glasgow’s Bree Glover, an Ole Miss signee, scored 14 points to lead Kentucky. Two players from the Louisville area also played – North Bullitt’s Katie Downey (nine points) and Male’s I’Liyah Green (six points).
Rogers and Glover were named MVPs.
