The Region Three and Region Four bowling champions have been decided in recent weeks, with several from the Louisville area earning spots in the State Championships set for Thursday and Friday at Collins Eastland in Lexington, Ky.
On the boys side, Pleasure Ridge Park defeated Butler to take the Region Three team title and Ballard defeated Trinity for the Region Four crown.
Fern Creek’s Jared Armstrong defeated PRP’s Denver Wilson 238-223 for the Region Three individual title. St. Xavier’s Brandon Flora beat teammate Robbie Gronefeld 279-235 for the Region Four individual crown.
In girls action, Mercy knocked off Bullitt East for the Region Three team championship and Male defeated Manual for the Region Four title.
In individual play, PRP’s Michaela Payne beat teammate Morgan Rush 267-165 for the Region Three crown and Sacred Heart’s Ashley Moch defeated Male’s Sydney Underwood 233-197 for the Region Four title.
