Annabel Moore posted 24 points, seven rebounds and four steals to lead the Owensboro Catholic High School girls basketball team to a 68-31 victory over Kentucky Country Day on Wednesday in the first round of the All “A” Classic state tournament at the Frankfort Convention Center.
Moore was 9 for 11 from the field, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, as the Lady Aces improved to 18-4. No. 19 in the state in The Courier-Journal’s Litkenhous Ratings, Owensboro Catholic will face Shelby Valley in Friday’s 8:30 a.m. quarterfinal. Shelby Valley beat Danville 52-42 in another first-round game Wednesday.
