It’s playoff time with the C-J’s Jason Frakes and Chris White looking at this week’s monster playoff games in the Louisville area.

BULLITT CENTRAL (8-3) AT SOUTH OLDHAM (10-1)

* Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.

* Next week: Winner will face North Bullitt-Madison Southern winner.

* Bullitt Central: The Cougars blew a 21-0 lead but recovered to post a 31-24 overtime victory at Anderson County last week. Gavin Curry’s 12-yard touchdown run was the game-winner and capped a 118-yard, three-TD performance. Zac Clark added 157 yards on 23 carries and now has 1,488 yards and 16 TDs this season. The Cougars had four turnovers in a 39-7 loss to South Oldham four weeks ago.

* South Oldham: Junior quarterback Drew Zaubi passed for 175 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Dragons to a 61-33 victory over Woodford County last week. Zaubi has passed for 1,676 yards and 23 TDs this season, leading an offense that is averaging 42.2 points per game and has reached at least 48 points on four occasions. Senior Keanan John (20 catches, 633 yards, eight TDs) is the top receiver.

* Quotable: “The biggest thing about Drew is that he’s a winner,” Dragons coach Jamie Reed said of Zaubi. “He doesn’t complain about the games where he only passes for 90 yards, and he doesn’t get the big head when he passes for 300 yards. He’s a humble kid, and I’m pleased with the way he has quarterbacked our system.”

* Pick: South Oldham 42-20.
