Two more Butler girls basketball players have announced their college commitments, Bearettes coach Larry Just announced Monday during The Courier-Journal’s high school basketball media day.
Bre Torrens, a 5-foot-4 senior guard, has committed to Bellarmine University. She averaged 3.9 points and 1.6 rebounds last season while helping Butler win its second state title in three seasons.
Janna Lewis, a 5-8 senior forward, has committee to Tennessee State. She averaged 9.9 points and 5.3 rebounds last season.
Torrens and Lewis are among five Butler seniors who have announced their commitments, joining Jaelynn Penn (Indiana), Teri Goodlett (Eastern Kentucky) and Tasia Jeffries (Saint Louis).
