Players to watch: The Bulldogs will be led on defense by a pair of senior ends, Adriel Robinson and Bryce Carter. On offense, Wright is putting another returning defensive starter – senior safety Will Smith – in at running back because of his playmaking capabilities.
Other top players: WR/RB Justus Montgomery (Jr.), DB/QB Korey Morgan (Jr.), QB/DB Jordan Brock (Sr.).
Outlook: The Bulldogs finished last season strong, winning six straight before falling by six points at South Oldham in the second round of the playoffs. Now, they have just six seniors on the team. “We’re changing what we’re doing offensively,” Wright said. “We know we have to be more of an option-style offense.” Morgan, who missed last season due to an injury, is competing for the starting job with Brock. With the need for offense, Wright said that whoever isn’t the quarterback likely will end up at another offensive skill position.
