According to The Courier-Journal’s Litkenhous Ratings, Elizabethtown High School is the favorite to take the championship at this week’s St. Elizabeth Healthcare/KHSAA Girls Sweet 16 being held at Northern Kentucky University’s BB&T Arena in Highlands Heights.
E’town is one of seven top-10 teams that made the tournament, joining No. 2 Butler, No. 4 Mercer County, No. 5 Franklin County, No. 6 Manual, No. 7 Murray and No. 9 Holmes.

The Girls Sweet 16 will tip off at noon Wednesday with Mercer County facing Leslie County. The championship game is set for 2 p.m. Sunday.
If the Litkenhous Ratings hold, Saturday’s semifinals would match Franklin County against Mercer County and Manual against E’town. The final would have E’town over Mercer County.
