You may have never heard of Antwavon “Pig” Williams unless you live in Central Kentucky, but the Mason County High School senior made national news Wednesday night.

Williams’ 3-pointer at the buzzer gave the Royals a 72-70 victory over Campbell County in the quarterfinals of the 10th Region Tournament at Montgomery County.

Here’s video from Evan Dennison of The Ledger Independent in Maysville, Ky.

Williams’ shot also was featured on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”

Williams is a 6-foot guard who leads the Royals (21-10) in scoring at 19.6 points per game. Mason County will face Paris (24-5) in the 10th Region semifinals at 6 p.m. Monday.
