Assumption High School has named Andrew Quinn its new soccer coach.
Quinn is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he was a goalkeeper for four seasons, and went on to play in Major League Soccer. He’s served as an assistant coach at Georgetown University and Harvard University and with the Boston Breakers of the National Women’s Soccer League.
“Andrew’s soccer knowledge is outstanding, but moreover we are looking forward to sharing his passion for teaching on and off the field,” Assumption athletic Angela Passafiume said.
Quinn replaces Kenyon Meyer, who stepped down in December after posting a 210-91-28 record over 15 seasons. His 2004 and 2005 squads reached the state semifinals.
