Manual High School’s Krys McCune is one of five senior basketball players from Kentucky who have been nominated to play in the McDonald’s All-American Games set for March 30 in Chicago.
McCune is among 760 players (boys and girls) to be nominated to play in the game. The final selection of the 24 boys and 24 girls who will compete in the games is set for Sunday.
McCune, a 6-foot-3 post player, is averaging 8.9 points and 8.9 rebounds for the Crimsons. She has signed with West Virginia.
Other girls from Kentucky who were nominated are Elizabethtown’s Erin Boley (Notre Dame signee), Glasgow’s Bre Glover (Ole Miss) and Bath County’s Sarah Price (Western Kentucky).
Taylor County’s Quentin Goodin was the only Kentuckian nominated for the boys game. He has signed with Xavier.
