The high school basketball holiday tournament schedule will kick back into full gear this weekend, and one of the top boys events will be held at Lexington Catholic.
The Traditional Bank Holiday Classic is a 24-team event that includes six squads ranked among the top 25 in The Courier-Journal’s preseason poll of coaches – No. 3 Paul Dunbar, No. 10 Trinity, No. 14 Henry Clay, No. 17 Lexington Catholic, No. 21 Bryan Station and No. 23 Lawrence County.
The event will tip off at noon Saturday and run through Wednesday’s 7:30 p.m. championship game.
Henderson County is the defending champion after beating Lexington Catholic 64-56 in last year’s final.
Here’s a look at where Louisville-area teams will be playing in the next week (all times EST):
BOYS
* Male and Valley will compete in the Lake Cumberland Holiday Hoops Classic in Somerset, Ky., starting Sunday and running through Wednesday’s 8:30 p.m. championship game. No. 12 Lafayette and No. 18 North Hardin headline the 16-team field.

* No. 19 Pleasure Ridge Park will travel to the Ocoee (Fla.) Great 8 Holiday Tournament, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 5:30 p.m. championship game.
* Fairdale is headed to the Sunshine Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. The event will start Monday and run through Wednesday’s 5:30 p.m. final.
* No. 8 Bullitt East will travel to San Diego for the Surf ‘N Slam Tournament, starting Monday and running through Wednesday’s 9 p.m. championship game.
* Oldham County will play in the Phoenix Cactus Jam, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 4:45 p.m. championship game.
* Seneca will host the Wes Unseld Classic, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 1 p.m. championship game. No. 20 Campbell County headlines an eight-team field that also includes Bardstown, Moore, Southwest DeKalb (Ga.), Western, Shawnee and Southern.
* Iroquois will play in the Beech (Tenn.) Holiday Tournament, starting Monday and running through Wednesday’s 9:30 p.m. final.
* South Oldham will host the Randy Penner Classic, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 8 p.m. final. Also in the eight-team field are Meade County, Jeffersontown, Mason County, McCracken County, Bourbon County, DeSales and Holy Cross.
* North Bullitt will play in the National Guard Holiday Classic at LaRue County, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 7:30 p.m. final.
* No. 7 Waggener will play in the Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic Crusader Classic, starting Monday and ending with Wednesday’s 8:30 p.m. final.
* St. Xavier and Doss will play in the Meijer Holiday Classic, hosted by No. 2 Bowling Green. The event will start Monday and end with Wednesday’s 8:45 p.m. championship game.
* Spencer County will play in The Rock Holiday Classic at Windermere (Fla.) Prep. The event starts Monday and will end with Wednesday’s 8 p.m. final.
* Beth Haven will play in the Mountain Schoolboy Classic, a round-robin event running Monday-Wednesday at Belfry.
* Atherton, Christian Academy and Collins will play in the Henry County Invitational, running Monday-Wednesday (8:30 p.m. championship game).
* No. 9 Ballard will play in the Next Level Hoops Fest at Nashville (Tenn.) Christ Presbyterian. The event will start Monday and end with Wednesday’s 4 p.m. championship game. No. 5 Hopkinsville also is in the field.
* No. 24 Eastern will host the City of Middletown Classic, running Tuesday-Thursday (3:30 p.m. championship game). Elizabethtown, Scott, North Oldham, Shelby County, Butler, Cooper and Manual also are in the field.
* No. 16 Fern Creek will play in Tuesday’s Mayfield Holiday Shootout, facing Hickman County at noon and Mayfield at 4 p.m.
* No. 13 Central will travel to the Gary (Ind.) West Tournament, set for Tuesday and Wednesday (8 p.m. championship game).
GIRLS
* No. 14 Sacred Heart and Fern Creek will compete in the Mercer County Titan Christmas Clash, starting Saturday and running through Wednesday’s 9:15 p.m. championship game. No. 6 Mercer County and No. 10 Covington Holy Cross also are in the 16-team field.

* No. 15 Mercy (Island), Holy Cross (Dolphin) and Christian Academy (Dunes) will play in different divisions of the Carolina Invitational in Charleston, S.C. The tournaments will run Sunday-Wednesday.
* No. 7 Manual and Waggener will play in the Braggin Rights Classic, a round-robin event set for Sunday-Wednesday at Cincinnati Withrow.

* No. 8 Bullitt East will play in the Emerald Division of the Queen of Palms Basketball Classic, running Monday-Wednesday (7 p.m. championship game) in Fort Myers, Fla.
* Presentation will play in the Best of the Lakes Holiday Classic, a round-robin event set for Monday-Wednesday at Clinton County.
* No. 3 Butler will play in the American Division of the Naples (Fla.) Holiday Shootout, starting Tuesday and running through Thursday’s 6:30 p.m. championship game.
* No. 13 Eastern will compete in the Laker Farm Service/Riley Park Tire Tournament at Greenfield (Ind.) Central, starting Tuesday and running through Wednesday’s 8 p.m. final.
