The Bullitt East competitive cheer team took the top spot in the All-Girls Super division Saturday at the KHSAA State Competitive Cheerleading Championships.
Bullitt East finished with 251.3 points, edging runner-up Dixie Heights (247.1).
Several other Louisville-area teams fared well with Assumption fifth in the All-Girls Large division; Ballard third and Mercy fourth in the All-Girls Medium division; Pleasure Ridge Park seventh and North Oldham ninth in the All-Girls Small division; Manual eighth in the Co-Ed A division; and Bullitt Central second in the Co-Ed B division.
