Fans have voted Valley High School receiver Devious Brooks the winner of The Courier-Journal Metro Louisville Athlete of the Week Award presented by Norton Sports Health.
The junior caught five passes for 68 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner in the second overtime as the Vikings bested visiting Western 38-32 on Friday.
Last week’s other nominees included Spencer County running back Branden Leff, Manual golfer Lucy Suo and St. Xavier golfer Michael Sass.

The Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Awards are part of The Courier-Journal Kentuckiana Sports Awards presented by Norton Sports Health, a multi-faceted program that will honor local athletes throughout the school year and that culminates with a year-end awards banquet.
