Slugger James Crockett fueled a Ballard comeback over Bullitt East.
The Bruins (5-0) knocked in six runs in the seventh inning to overcome the Chargers 9-8 in eight innings. Payton Bledsoe and Jordan Gunter also hit home runs. The Chargers led 7-3 heading into the top of the seventh before the Bruins completed their comeback. The Chargers were able to add one more run in the bottom of the eighth inning but it wasn’t enough to tie the score again.
Pitcher Ben Collins recorded the win for the Bruins, throwing 3 1/3 innings and allowing two runs while striking out four.

Cade Blevins hit the game-winning single for the Bears (3-1), as they defeated the Eagles (4-3) in eight innings. Austin Wise gave up one run as the winning pitcher for the Bears. AJ Snyder and Jace Wilson both led the Eagles with two hits each.

Jordan Brock finished 1-for-2 at the plate for the Bulldogs.

Jack Cameron pitched seven innings for the Bulldogs, tallying eight strikeouts. Ty White recorded a loss in 2/3 of an inning. Male will play Butler next in the Watts/Driskell Memorial Tournament at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
