* Collins’ roller-coaster season hit a high note last week with a 41-8 victory at Valley. Sophomore quarterback J.R. Lucas completed 14 of 22 passes for 151 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for a score. Sophomore running back Na’Sean Roseberry added 107 yards on 12 carries and now has 873 yards and this season. He’s averaging 9.2 yards per carry.
* Shelby County ran its winning streak to five with a 55-6 rout of Breckinridge County last week. The Rockets rolled up 269 yards on the ground, with 10 players getting at least one carry. Freshman Jose Carias led the way with 76 yards and a touchdown on nine attempts. Senior Michael Perry added three touchdowns (two rushing, one punt return).
