KFCA names top players, coaches in each district

The Kentucky Football Coaches Association has announced its Players of the Year and Coaches of the Year for each of the state’s 48 districts.

Winners will be recognized at the state football finals set for Dec. 2-4 in Bowlin Green, Kentucky.

Here is the complete list of winners (Player of the Year listed first, then Coach of the Year):

* Class 6-A: District One – Hunter Combs (Muhlenberg County) and Marquel Tinsley (Daviess County), Jody Ashby (Ohio County); Two – Darius Barbour (Central Hardin), Tim Mattingly (Central Hardin); Three – Jaelin Carter (Manual), Will Wolford (St. Xavier); Four – Sugar Ray Wyche (Eastern), Shaun Davis (Eastern); Five – Donte Hendrix (Cooper), Mike Engler (Ryle); Six – Cameron Racke (Simon Kenton), Jeff Marksberry (Simon Kenton); Seven – Colby McKee (Scott County), Jim McKee (Scott County); Eight – Walker Wood (Lafayette), Mark Scenters (Madison Central).
