Male’s Brian Smith had eight catches for 175 yards and a touchdown in a recent 27-14 victory over rival Manual, earning him The Courier-Journal Metro Louisville Athlete of the Week Award presented by Norton Sports Health.
Last week’s other nominees were Manual field hockey’s Sarah Biggs, Butler soccer’s Hate Dieven and Moore football’s Tahj Gelin.
The Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana Athlete of the Week Awards are part of The Courier-Journal Sports Awards program presented by Norton Sports Health.
