Glasgow High School senior Chase Landrum and Clay County junior Bailey Hubbard have been named Kentucky’s Mr. and Ms. Golf by Golf House Kentucky and the Kentucky Junior Golf Foundation.
Landrum, who has committed to Western Kentucky University, and Taylor County sophomore Cooper Parks tied atop the All-State points list with 795 points. Landrum won the tiebreaker for Mr. Golf based on his finish in the state tournament earlier the month, placing fifth. Parks tied for sixth place.
Landrum had eight top-10 finishes during the season, including three victories and three runner-up finishes. He also was named Mr. Golf as a sophomore in 2014.
Hubbard led the girls All-State points list with 815. She had eight top-three finishes this season, including two victories and the Region Nine title. She tied for fifth place in the state tournament.
Several players from the Louisville area received first-team All-State honors – Manual senior Robbie Keyes, St. Xavier senior Clay Amlung, Sacred Heart juniors Ryan Bender and Erin Rowland and Shelby County senior Lilly Young.
First-team players and coaches will honored during a banquet Nov. 4 at Big Spring Country Club.
