The high school sports postseason will kick into full gear this week with regional soccer and field hockey tournaments and district volleyball tournaments.
Here’s a look at teams and games to watch in each sport:
* Boys soccer: The Seventh Region Tournament includes six teams ranked among the state’s top 25 – No. 1 Trinity, No. 2 Collegiate, No. 5 St. Xavier, No. 6 Manual, No. 18 Ballard and No. 21 Christian Academy.
Monday’s top quarterfinal will match St. X (13-4-5) at Manual (14-0-2) at 7:30 p.m. The regional final is set for 4 p.m. Saturday at St. X.

No. 25 Butler (16-4-1) is the only ranked team in the Sixth Region Tournament and will face Moore (10-4-2) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at DeSales. The regional final is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at DeSales.
No. 12 Oldham County (16-6) headlines the field for the Eighth Region Tournament and will host Grant County (10-6-6) in a quarterfinal at 8 p.m. Monday. The regional final is slated for 7 p.m. Thursday at Collins.
Regional champions advance to the state tournament’s semistate round on Oct. 25.
* Girls soccer: No. 1-ranked and defending state champion Sacred Heart (13-3-1) will host No. 13 Male (14-5-3) at 7 p.m. Monday in a key Seventh Region Tournament quarterfinal. No. 6 Assumption and No. 10 Manual also are in the field. The regional final is set for 5 p.m. Friday at Eastern.
Mercy (8-11-2) has won four straight Sixth Region titles and will host Pleasure Ridge Park (7-10-1) at 7 p.m. Monday in a quarterfinal. The regional final is set for 6 p.m. Friday at Mercy.
No. 4 Simon Kenton (16-3-1) top the field for the Eighth Region Tournament and will host Collins (6-7-3) at 6:15 p.m. Monday in a quarterfinal. No. 20 South Oldham (8-10-2) and No. 21 Oldham County (9-8-2) also are in the field. The regional final is set for 7 p.m. Thursday at Walton-Verona.
Regional champions advance to the state tournament’s semistate round on Oct. 24.
* Field hockey: Defending state champion Sacred Heart will host Seneca at 5:30 p.m. Monday in a First Region Tournament semifinal. Assumption will face Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. Monday in a Third Region Tournament semifinal at Male.

Regional champions and runners-up advance to the state tournament starting Saturday at the Assumption Green complex.
* Volleyball: No. 1 Sacred Heart will host Waggener at 5 p.m. Monday in a 27th District Tournament semifinal. No. 2 Assumption will host the Male-Brown winner at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the 26th District Tournament final.
