* Central: The Yellowjackets picked up their first victory of the season last week, beating Waggener 42-21 to remain unbeaten in district play since the start of the 2007 season. Chereioun Jones (89 yards, one touchdown) and Corey Johnson (76 yards, two TDs) had big games on the ground, and James Simpson passed for 191 yards and two scores. Ukari Baker had four catches for 150 yards and two scores.
* Moore: The Mustangs are off to their best start since 1989 (also 5-1) after posting a 26-22 victory at Thomas Nelson last week. Freshman quarterback Rae Von Vaden completed 25 of 33 passes for 266 yards and a touchdown. The Mustangs have lost six straight meetings with Central, including 46-6 last season.
