* Storyline: Warriors seek first 3-0 start since 2006.
* Butler: The Bears outgained DeSales in total yards (260-245) last week but couldn’t overcome five turnovers in a 17-0 loss. Senior quarterback Blake Showalter completed 18 of 33 passes for 199 yards but was intercepted three times. Sophomore running back Eric Jackson (25 carries, 147 yards, one TD) and junior wide receiver Frank Bentley (12 catches, 157 yards, one TD) are other top threats on offense.
* Western: Junior Kenneth Thompson carried 30 times for 202 yards and a touchdown and junior quarterback Tyon Pearson tossed three TD passes in a 50-28 rout of Seneca last week. Thompson has rushed for 333 yards and three TDs this season and is averaging 5.9 yards per carry. Western hasn’t been 3-0 since winning its first nine games of the 2006 season.
